2014 Harley Davidson - 1942 Harley Davidson WLA - Ornament
The US Army called for a work horse in World War II and Harley-Davidson
answered with the versatile WLA. The bike was used for courier, police, and
scouting work. It earned the nickname "Liberator" for the soldiers seen riding
it during the liberation of Europe. The bike became a favorite of veterans and
helped fuel the rise of a biker culture in the years following the war. The WLA
was also featured in the Hallmark Miniature Harley Davidson series in 2009.
