1999 Skys The Limit 3 - Curtiss R3C-2 Seaplane - Ornament
In 1925, air races were popular in the Curtis R3C-1 biplane was created to
compete. For over the water races, a seaplane version was built in equipped
with streamlined wooden floats. Known as the R3C-2, it won the prestigious
Schneider Cup Race in Baltimore averaging more than 235 mph. The next day,
it set a world speed record of 245 mph. This series features highly detailed
historic aircraft.
